The article talks about taboo words and the assumptions behind which gender uses them more. First notions, which I am sure most of you would think is that men know more and use more slang than women. This held belief is untrue, surveys were taken from children, adolescents, and young adults to see which sex knew more terms and used them. The studies showed that women not only knew more terms then men but also used them more frequently. A equal attribute between the two genders in this survey showed that both men and women knew more slang terms for the opposite sex than their own.
